Raptor R-1 PVC Extrusion Case Study The Raptor R-1 system was fully deployed in an operational PVC extrusion plant with 35 years of history in early April 2025, following a six-week trial. The initial test involved six high-volume, high-return (RMA) production lines and was limited to the Quality Control team. After validating the RQASListener software and database, the system was expanded to 22 additional manufacturing lines, totaling 28. Subsequently, 40 machine operators were integrated into the system. After the full rollout, we observed the following: 1. RMAs were reduced by 50% in under 6 months, due to eyes being put regularly on the product. a. The drop was almost immediately evident, as it was the only major change in QA protocol in year 2025. To put it simply, it works. b. It proved that the majority of people want to do well at their job. No one wants to be ‘THAT person’. Work groups are micro-societies, and most people want acceptance among their peers. c. People understand that what they are doing actually matters and feel invested. To themselves, their work society, and ultimately their customers. They’re on record. 2. The foundational concepts of the R-1 System were proven. The R-1 system effectively narrows your employees’ activities down to 3 possibilities: a. The individual was there and did their job. The product met quality standards. b. The individual was there and DID NOT do their job properly. You can provide additional training. c. The individual was not there at all. 3. In this particular deployment over 1600 pages of paperwork were eliminated per month. This paperwork has been long regarded as worthless and easily faked. It no longer needs to be maintained or filed, freeing up many manhours per month to deal with real issues, like having eyes on the product at regular intervals. 4. The data being collected is regularly consumed by managers and supervisors on a daily basis. Production Management, QA, CI, Training, etc. It has proven to be a very valuable tool. ROI at an already world-class facility with an RMA of 0.36% dropped to 0.16% in under 5 months. Again, you only pay for it once, and you own it. The warranty is first rate.
